Jaffrey Library Trustees - Minutes of Meeting - December 12, 2012
Stephanie Minteer called the meeting to order at 4:30 pm. Also present were Dick Porter, Steve Van Houten, Joan Knight, Mary Heafy, Nancy Clapp, Karl Putnam and Tammy Cummings.
The minutes of the November 14, 2012 were approved with a correction to the Gingerbread Houses date of December 15.
Treasurer’s Report
The treasurer’s report covering the period November 15, 2012 through December 1 2, 2012 was distributed. The current balance is $1,682.03. The report was accepted. After discussion a motion was made and unanimously approved to advise the Town that for the 2013 budget year the Library contribution to the town from fund income would be decreased to $20,000. This being due to an expected reduction of fund income in 2013.
Director’s Report
Joan noted that the Library will be closed on December 24 and 25, and that it will be closed on December 31 at 1:00 pm.
The new book drop is still due to arrive any day. Joan also noted that the Currier and Ives Cookie Tour was a great success with over 300 attendees.
The first Town Budget Committee meeting will be held at the Fire Station on January 5, 2013 starting at 10:30 am. Joan also reported that the Committee was asking all departments to consider the impact of a 10% reduction to their 2013 budgets. Trustees are welcome to attend.
New Business
The Trustees reviewed the new Investment Policy as revised by the President. A motion was made and unanimously voted to approve the new Policy.

The next regular meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 4:30 pm. The meeting was adjourned at 6:05 pm. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
